KEYSAR RESIDENCE

The Keysar residence is a complete remodeling of a 3000 square foot high rise condo unit in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. This three bedroom condo unit is located in a Mies Van der Rohe residential tower looking over the Chicago downtown skyline as well as Lincoln Park and Lake Michigan.  The project includes all new construction including new walls, flooring plumbing, electrical, and mechanical. The modern detailing and plan was designed to be in keeping with the historically significant Mies Van der Rohe structure. The residence was designed as two distinct public and private zones separated by a circular transition space in the units main circulation route. In classic Mies tradition, the public living area wraps around a central service core of bathrooms, kitchen and storage areas allowing for a spectacular uninterrupted skyline view, as well as providing amble natural light throughout the whole unit.
